Dvd Blu Ray Grainy On Hdtv

Nice (Addendum)

Are we really for a week back home?
One minute we were in Nice to attend board and could still entertain the illusion for a few hours to make a 'shore' as always.
After Captain Thorn had arranged in reverse perfectly into the narrow harbor of Nice, even the first trailer hummed with supplies for the kitchen and cook on! Finally, we were really only 'food groups', so it seemed! No pineapple, no more plums, papayas, no! Probably the Werin and beer supplies were running low already gone, because the road have been slammed PAXs well.

Nice - in spring!
connected Not bad, especially with the good old days when, in order to escape the winter blues, went to southern France in the Easter holidays! Since we stayed mainly in the tropical zones, we encountered no real way spring, all the better now the reunion with perhaps the most beautiful time of year! We

a round turn around the docks with the 'poor man's yacht' all for the Easter trips are cleaned and gewienert. The first café au lait on a secluded place, then squeezed the sun for a few hours through the clouds. Kristin and Eckhardt are already on the road - but we while away the hours until just after 16 hours, have lunch buffet almost to ourselves and just want to go home. As we can see

the plane once the Amadea in port, we are still sad. Good thing she has not thrown anchor! When I saw it out now at sea, heading into the wide world - I'm sure I would have increased the tears in his eyes!

Dear Readers! Now the world is finally traveling to the end and hence this blog (for pictures and reports from S. are not as informative that you want to actually read / view). To us it was fun to write and keep them as well as the contact in the home.

It would be - the end for us - to know the way, very nice, who has since read all this blog.
Since the comments of only a very limited group were: Vielleichtg May you write to her directly to us?

At home

dear readers!

Our super nice, great, incredible world tour is over! But in our minds, in our hearts it is fixed, and unforgettable! We

have the first part of our luggage unpacked and find ourselves quite well readjusting to home walls. Where were again ...????
Thanks to all our loyal readers who have brought us also to report as regularly as possible.!
From Nice, there is a small supplement (eg, the Amadea again from the air - sniff), but we need a few cables, which are as yet undetectable ....

greet you the Chipmunks

Suez Canal

Now we are sailing in the Mediterranean,
and have no funds!

That is, We have to go home!

But still, we had an experience before us, which gave his time with the rash for our trip around the world: the passage through the Suez Canal. After all

is this channel not only written recent history (though I can still remember the Suez crisis in my childhood), how the ancient Egyptians were already stand out channels to create an important link from the Nile to the Red Sea is not well established. But there were probably even a direct service between Memphis and Biblis. However, such a channel had to be constantly maintained and cared for, he is once again bogged down .. But still.

Only Darius I was able to complete a connecting channel that had begun the Romans, from the Nile to the Red Sea. Finally, the Persian king had interest to link their conquered Egypt with the rich.
The history of this Channel was like that of the ancient Egyptian <; erst Gottfried Wilhelm Leibnitz legte dem König Frankreichs, Ludwig XIV einen ausgearbeiteten Plan für einen Kanal durch die Landenge von Suez vor. 1859 begann unter Leitung des französischen Diplomaten Ferdinand de Lesseps der Bau; nach 10 Jahren Bauzeit, unter Mitwirkung vn 25.000 Arbeitern wurde der Kanal am 17.11.1869 eröffnet.

The Suez canal is 171.25 km long.
The Kiel Canal is approximately 99km long (with two pairs of lock)
The Panama Canal is approximately 81km long (with three pairs of locks).

Since 1957, Egypt, the sole administrator of the canal, but was blocked from 1967 to 1975, the channel due to the Israeli-Egyptian war by shipwrecks. The re-opening cost Egypt $ 288,000,000 (it had 10 steel body sunken ships, cannons and tanks are removed, the floor was strewn with exploded and unexploded grenades)

We see from all this, of course, nothing more. Along endless desert landscapes We glide quietly through the first part of the channel. We are leading a convoy of 28 ships. On the shore we see regularly armed Egyptian items that move in from the cold in the morning of their small huts in the warm morning sun.
are often greeted us, whether by inscriptions in the sand (Welcome to Egypt) or by waving - is clear in spite of all that you do not want to give up this spot again.

the Great Bitter Lake, where we allow the ships of the oncoming convoy pass, we find parts of the British fleet. Even wine submarine glides past us. They are all on the way to the south and perhaps to the ships Encountered are against pirates in action.

Our passage is trouble free and surprisingly fast, so that we obtain in Port Said even for 3 hours shore leave time.

But now we come closer to Europe inevitably, the colder regions of the country!

Sharm-el-Sheikh

The last shore leave - permanently. Many Amadea guests embark on an overland trip, be it to Cairo, it was to St. Catherine Monastery. Both groups will be on it a day in Port Said pick them out again, '. But we really want to sit six to eight hours in a bus? Can not not have it all view / - so we decided to go one last time to private land and to surprise us.

Sharm-el-Sheikh was not until 1967, more than one checkpoint. But slowly discovered the benefits of tourism, rave about, particularly among the divers to the skies. No comparison with the Great Barrier Reef!

The Sinai Peninsula was certainly not fought because of these qualities often, Egypt and Israel each tried to gain sovereignty over the peninsula of 60,000 square kilometers large. First signed in 1979 Israeli-Egyptian Peace treaty brought peace to the region.
resting place of bathing tourists in Sharm el-Sheikh but unlikely, because there is bustle, Russian tourists have discovered this corner for himself and the old souk is all set to the travelers. Kitsch prevails and you have to look carefully and look a bit until you have really interesting place.
Kristin is in her element and acts like one, Egyptian bazaar merchants'! Our nice seller Mohamed Ali (as they are called actually all) must often laugh about the quick-witted arguments Kristin. It is fun to act with him - and he seems in the end have to get a good price, because he gives us Last but not everyone a little trailer that help us remember Egypt.

It's getting hot, we trot towards Amadea and pass on the beach of Na'ama Bay. We jump again in (kalte!) water of the Red Sea, and consider whether we would want to leave here. Probably not, I think. One is of a world tour quite spoiled, '... There are sooo beautiful corners of this world!

place we order from 13h, and the Suez Canal is waiting, we need to take our midnight start position, because here we are riding in a convoy.
